Are you one of the countless motorists still waiting for your car’s license plates? If yes, you’ll be glad to know the LTO – Land Transportation office has launched a website dedicated to checking if said plates are already available.
Not only will the site tell you if your plates are available, it will also show exactly where to pick it up as well. The LTO adds that some of the plates are ready for those who bought their vehicle from as far back as July 2016. The agency calls it the Motor Vehicle 7-Character Plate Backlog Inquiry.
Motor Vehicle 7-Character Plate Backlog Inquiry a convenient way for us and all you have to do to check on your plate’s status is to enter the 15-digit MV number located on the top-left side of your certificate of registration. If your plate is available, the website will tell you when and at what office you can pick it up.

1. Go to the website https://www.lto.net.ph/LTO/Online.
2. Enter your vehicle’s 15-digit MV File Number. It can be located on the upper left corner of the Certificate of Registration of the vehicle.
3. Get the result! If your vehicle’s license plate is not yet available, you’ll get a message similar to the message / image below. A fastest and easy way , just 3 steps and you’re good to go.
